Pay in the Voluntary Sector

The following websites offer useful pay advice to voluntary organisations:

VolResource

Aims to make it quick and easy to get to useful information on anything to do with running a voluntary organisation, whether a community group, charity or other non-profit body.

NAVCA (the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action)

Is England’s national voice of local voluntary and community sector infrastructure. Its purpose is to promote local voluntary and community action nationally by providing members with information, advice, networking and learning opportunities, support and development services.

SCVO (Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations)

Is the national body representing the voluntary sector in Scotland. It seeks to advance the values and shared interests of the country’s 45,000 voluntary organisations.

LVSC (the London Voluntary Service Council)

Brings together London’s voluntary and community sector organisations together to learn and share best practice and to create a co-ordinated voice to influence policy makers.

NICVA (the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action)

Is the umbrella body for voluntary and community organisations in Northern Ireland.

Community NI

Is the central resource for information, news and discussion on the voluntary and community sector in Northern Ireland. It has been developed by the NICVA (see above) specifically to promote the sector.
